For the Peoples, for the Peace...

The Pyramid of Peace is nominated to be the symbol of Astana city. The attractive building of exceptional design has a university, museum and 1500-seat opera auditorium inside and is called the “Palace of Peace” in Kazakhstan.

The famous British opera consultant Anne Minors and the German illumination company Dinnebir are the experts in their field that worked very closely with Sembol Construction in this astonishing project.

Designed by Gültekin and Sreda, the Pyramid, a 29,000 sqm construction, was spectacularly finished in 12 months in September 2006.

Astana University
"Education is, not preparation for life; education is life itself." John Dewey

Astana University is the first project in Astana of this extent whereby it has been designed to cover social, cultural, training, education and accommodation needs of the 20.000 students and its lecturers.

The main atrium with its 33.85 metre width and 580 metre length makes up the backbone of the faculty, social and cultural buildings. A comfortable living space is obtained by connecting the main atrium with faculty atriums.

Astana Stadium
Bringing the People together...

The Stadium was designed to have a sliding operable roof system, taking into consideration the severe climate of Astana.

The steel construction and the technical works will be completed by Büro Happold. The Stadium will be able to host 30.000 visitors and is considered not only for football matches games, will also be the preferred location for concerts and other exceptional activities.

It will become the arena for entertainment. With its sliding roof system of 10.000 sqm, this project is one of only six all over the world.
