Expo is the abbreviation of the word “exposition”. It is also known as “World’s Fair” and has been organized since the middle of the 19th century.
Today, Expo is the third largest organization in the world after FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games in terms of economic and cultural impact. It has been organized since more than 150 years (longer than the modern Olympic Games and the World Cup.)
Sembol construction has been awarded to construct the core structure of the Expo 2017,namely Kazakhstan Pavilion. Most of the activates at Expo 2017 will be organized inside and around the structures built by Sembol.

Post Expo the buildings will be rearranged for the public and commercial use of an Astana.
